Here are two laugh-producing fables as George Ade calls them, on one reel, and as no one else digs up so much fun out of ordinary happenings as does Mr. Ade. First comes the &quot;Girl Who Shifted the System,&quot; on the advice of a wise married woman, to whom she applied when she could not make a hit talking about herself to the men. Advice: &quot;If He Like Syrup Feed It To Him by the Gallon&quot; about himself. The other is the fable of the &quot;Wife of a Sarcastic Husband,&quot; who spent an entire day shopping and brought home a spool of thread. He made remarks, but was forced to pay for two truck loads delivered later. Moral: &quot;Never Arouse a Sleepy Shopper.&quot; - The Moving Picture World, January 2, 1915

In despair she went to a wise married woman who told her she had the wrong system, that she should talk about the men. She followed instructions and won them all by telling them how she appreciated true greatness. Moral: If he likes syrup, feed it to him by the gallon. "The Fable of the Sarcastic Husband and the Lady Shopper" is about a "lady" who spent the entire day shopping at top speed, then brought home a small spool of thread. Her husband laughed and made sarcastic remarks, so the next day it took two trucks to deliver her purchases. Moral: Never arouse a sleepy shopper.
