"This is the first Bobby Bumps cartoon I've seen from Earl Hurd, but given how well made it was for the era, I'll try to find a few more. I liked it because it was quite cute and creative but I also was impressed by the quality relative to other cartoons of the time. In a very timely plot, little Bobby and his dog build a pretty amazing home-made tank. Now considering that the first tanks were seen only a couple years before in Europe, this is quite probably the first time you see this in a cartoon...or any film.
