"During the 1920s, I think the two very best silent cartoon series were Felix the Cat as well as Koko the Clown. Koko was created and animated by the Fleischer brothers who later went on to create Betty Boop and Popeye....but I think I prefer the silent Koko cartoons most. When the story begins, the inkwell overturns and Koko is created as a result...along with a violent baby and a baby carriage. Later, Max turns on a fan and creates a storm which causes all sorts of mayhem...including blowing poor Koko's face clean off! He also is bullied by the mean baby. I think this is only a fair Ko..."
