"Director Victor Trivas was a traveler, working in Germany, Czechoslovakia, France and United States as a screenwriter, director and artistic director. He directed only four movies, the best known being "Die Nackte und der Satan", kind of science fiction movie with Michel Simon shot in 1959. Dans les rues was his previous movie, shot in 1933 in and around Paris. It is a crime fiction with some realistic visions of that period : french slang, real settings from Paris and around (factories in Ivry, Austerlitz viaduct, the poor zone, racecourse, sand pit, a young boy with milk bottles ..."
