This film had its earliest documented UK telecast on BBC Sunday 31 July 1949, on an accident prone evening when it was brought in at the last minute to replace a play which "wasn't quite ready." In the USA it was first televised in Los Angeles Monday 5 February 1951 on KTLA (Channel 5), and in Pittsburgh Friday 16 February 1951 on WDTV (Channel 3). Since it had never been released theatrically in this country, these telecasts also constituted its USA public premiere presentations.
