"Ann Savage joins the scientists, out-of-work plantation managers, and assorted beach combers on a South Pacific Island, where Tom Neal is farming bacteria to produce penicillin, which they need to produce there for reasons which are never specified. Eventually they are invaded by a Japanese submarine with a largely German crew of five run by Sven Hugo Borg. There is also room in the sub for everyone on the island to be seated at a folding card table. Borg wants the formula for penicillin, threatening everyone.
