Odd little thriller helped along by the presence and acting of the great James Mason. Pamela Kellino, who played Kate Howard, was credited under her previous married name. Her name at this time was Pamela Mason as she was the then-wife of James Mason. They had met on the set of "Troubled Waters" (1935), and her husband, Roy Kellino, was the cinematographer on that film. The three became close friends, and Mason moved in with the couple. The Kellinos were divorced in 1940 with Mason named as co-respondent. Mason and Kellino were married in 1941.
