Over the course of five seasons of the show, four different actors played the lead character, Martin Kane. They were: William Gargan (Seasons 1-2), Lloyd Nolan (Season 3), Lee Tracy (Season 4), and Mark Stevens (Season 5). Gargan revived the role for one final season in the syndicated TV show, The New Adventures of Martin Kane (1957), which was filmed on location in Europe, with Kane solving international cases.
