"Barack Obama's election as president today at least suggests that that what Friz Freleng's "By Word of Mouse" portrays may return. An endorsement of free enterprise and mass production, it applied in the 1950s, before the factories shut down and moved to the third world so that they wouldn't have to pay the workers anything.
