The Fort Oghora exterior set (HQ of the lancers) was constructed at Vasquez Rocks for the show at a cost of $182,000, as documented in a 1957 article in TV Guide. The set remained standing for more than a decade at that site, and appeared in numerous subsequent productions, particularly TV episodes such as Valley of Death (1961), Alias Joe Cartwright (1964), The Night of the Sudden Plague (1966), Arena (1967), and Trek (1967). It was finally demolished in the early 1970s by Los Angeles County, which owns the property. A visitor parking lot now sits where the fort once was.
