"Director Thomas Carr began his career at Republic Pictures, making B westerns, one hour long stuff; so did Harry Keller and RG Springsteen. It was not before mid fifties that the three of them began to rise in budget and quality. Especially Harry Keller, Springsteen and Carr, a bit less. Thomas Carr was also guilty of some Serials for Columbia Pictures - SUPERMAN, CONGO BILL... and the awful producer Sam Katzman. But in the mid fifties, he gave some good material, such as this one starring Joel Mc Crea, Virginia Mayo and the likes of Leo Gordon, Michael Pate - for once not playing villains !!!..."
