"It was shown to me in public school also. Its haunting nature left me very frightened. I specifically remember tumbleweeds, tumbling down the streets of a very large, deserted city with towering sky scrapers. It was the completely deserted city that was so troubling. There was no discussion afterwards and we were immediately dismissed to go home for lunch. It was definitely not appropriate for children. (Of course growing up with the threat of annihilation by nuclear war didn't help my perspective of the film.) Looking for it also, so that I can view it with adult eyes...."
