The Norwegian comedy &quot;Støv på hjernen&quot; (would translate to &quot;Dust on the brain&quot; in English) had no release except in Norway late summer in 1959. No surprise, since it&apos;s probably one of the most outdated films I&apos;ve seen in a very long time.

The film is about suburban families, trying to be perfect housewives, and their theories in what is the right way of treating and accepting husbands and kids.* A lot of well known Norwegian theatre actors, especially females, from the time is featured, and they probably amused a lot back 50 years ago. Today the film is lame, boring and worse; overplayed.

I&apos;ve seen quite a few old Norwegian comedies, and most of them are genuinely funny, like &quot;Bussen&quot; (1961; rated 7/10), &quot;Fjols til Fjells&quot; (1957: 8/10) and &quot;Skulle det dukke opp flere lik, er det bare å ringe&quot; (1970; 8/10), but this is pure crap.

I give this a 2/10, due to it telling us about the equal times of the 50&apos;ies and also some for the originality in showing the 50&apos;ies Oslo. Otherwise this is not for anyone.

Randi Svendsen is happy. Her everyday life is about keeping windows, floors, and clothes cleaner than the neighbour's. Randi's friend Edna however got a different view on the values of life: "don't clean your husband out of the house and into the arms of the secretary". Unfortunately this is already about to happen in the Svendsen-family. Thougb it's not the secretary it's the young widow upstairs. What can Randi do to prevent the unthinkable? Can the "Union for radical housewives" be the solution?
