"GOLD IS WHERE YOU FIND IT is a short British comedy film set in an Irish pub populated by familiar middle-aged actors from British TV and cinema of the period: Eddie Byrne headlines here, and Dermot Kelly and Sam Kydd play regulars propping up the bar. The light plot involves a character arriving who's mislaid his gold, and soon enough the locals are encouraged to go hunting for it. It's very slight stuff that gets by on humourising some very broad Irish stereotypes, although the familiar cast add a lot of charm to the proceedings, and the twist ending is a good one...."
