"A film of too few, it depicts a father-son relationship unique to french-canada and is shot in such visual poetry by one of the world's greatest cinematographer Michel Brault (A Cannes winner). Sadly this film is not distributed at all and I don't know about it's English translation. What it features though is some of the most realistic pieces of acting I have ever seen. There is little composition, the acting relying is mostly on heart-wrenching drunkeness. Every time I see it, it leaves me with that dark, complex Kurosawa flavor.
