"Cliff Robertson is a cop trying to nail a killer. Joel Gray is a psychic determined to help him. But how does the psychic know what he knows? And does he know a little too much? I coincidentally caught this movie not long after reading a book about "psychic" Peter Hurkos, who went to his grave claiming he helped the police crack the Boston Strangler case (which the police deny). An understanding of how these people operate was helpful in comprehending all that went on. However, the ending is disappointing...."
