Great scenery, fast paced, but somewhat boring stories with week casting..
"This series very much resembled the adventures on the PARKER RANCH on the island of Hawaii although not covering the "historical background" found in the book THE PARKER RANCH OF HAWAII by Joseph Brennan...We had a TV series on CBS at that time (1975-76) and pitched the book on the PARKER RANCH around to programmers & producers on behalf & representing our good friend Joe Brennan who we saw often when in Hawaii...Unfortunately the BIG HAWAII series with it's fabulous scenery suffered from poor scripting and only lasted one season..But the writer went on to become an icon..."
