"This TV movie had a lot going for it to appeal to rural American viewers of the 1970s. Johnny and June Carter Cash and the whole state of Texas. Johnny plays Thaddeus Rose, and Bo Hopkins plays Eddie. They are two ranching "piddlers" who will never make it big. T.R. drives a 1959 or 1960 Ford pickup.
