Ann Dusenberry was almost cast as Laurie Strode in John Carpenter's HALLOWEEN (1978) that same year until Jamie Lee Curtis won the role that made her famous. A few years later, Eve Plumb had the lead role in another Irwin Yablans produced slasher Prom Night (1980) until Jamie Lee Curtis was interested and won the role again.
