Coluche is perfectly cast as Michel Clément, a man promoted well beyond his abilities and unleashed upon a serious criminal investigation with disastrous results. His performance is broad, physical, and unapologetically silly, yet never lazy. Every misstep feels intentional, every misunderstanding pushed just far enough to land a laugh. The film&apos;s biggest strength is how confidently it lets its lead be foolish without softening the consequences. The comedy comes from escalation, not sympathy. Some scenes were so hilarious, they had us in stitches.

Technically, &apos;Inspector Blunder&apos; is uneven. Direction and pacing occasionally wobble, and some gags feel stretched or repeated a beat too long. Yet these shortcomings are offset by inspired moments of visual comedy, sharply timed dialogue, and an underlying satire of institutional incompetence.
