Old fashioned but still good

Thanks to Daniel Duval as director and also lead character, this crime Tv French stuff is adapted from an André Piljean&apos;s book which it is not so closed to in terms of details. But overall atmosphere yes. Daniel Duval is excellent in this poignant character in the pure Jean-Pierre Melville&apos;s style: friendship, honor, revenge. And so surprising Jean-Pierre Malo&apos;s cop character, probably the only one in his whole career. Only the ending may be unsatisfactory, it could have been better. Old fashioned gangster story that was begin to become rare during the eighties. The novel was written in the fifties, the gangster stories era. André Piljean was not Auguste le Breton nor José Giovanni, but interesting though.
