"der hirsch!!! this movie aired in tv in midsummer 89, i think, just the time when nobody really watches tv and so was the promotion: nothing at all. i was lucky to see it and funny enough: the next day everybody was talking about it!! soon it was seen in selected cinemas with a complementary beer, of course, since the bavarian spirit was a core part of it. unfortunately the yearly showings stopped due to the damage of the last (or only) 3 copies. it`s a shame that it is not shown anymore and copies are not available. xaver remains unequalled in simplicity, straightforwardness and fun, not to m..."
