"The Shades of Love series came along at the time when most people were watching nighttime soaps like "Dallas" and "Dynasty" and the romantic fantasy business was in boom. The formula for the series was to cast well know male actors (mostly American) with much lesser known Canadian actresses in plots lines typical of most romance novels.
