"Nad Niemnem is based on the novel by Eliza Orzeszkowa. Both book and the movie are important elements of polish culture. They show struggles of people living in 19th century on former polish land which was at that point part of Russia. The adaptation was well-made, with the exception of long descriptions of nature which we can find in the book. Main problem however is the fact that the movie has a full frontal female nudity scene which is totally unnecessary. On the other hand Nad Niemnem is allowed from age 12, probably because it is based on the book which is a school reading. I do not think..."
