"Much better than the original and the third installment. Director/actor Carl Franklin really nails the story here. Extremely low budget, but the acting and pace sets the movie. Todd Field (Eyes wide shut) and Ronald William Lawrence (Tour of duty/Vietnam war story) did a great job. The editing is very well done I was never bored at any moment. You have the typical grunts in the Nam. But one GI is saved by female villager, and a cat and mouse chase ensues with a corrupt major. Sometimes high budgets don't make good movies necessarily.
