"I am dead sure that this movie was inspired - more or less - by Ridley Scott's DUELLISTS. First, it takes place in a period not so far from Scott's first feature - Napoleonic wars - and it is also question of vengeance, duel, honor, manhood.... And it is not less interesting for me. This movie LA SOULE is a real underrated gem that really deserves to be seen at all costs. It is so surprising and also a shame that it has not been commented yet. I guess it was hardly released in the US or any other country. During the eighties era you had many of those rare and offbeat plots. So please..."
