Not only one of Madhuri&apos;s best but also Anil&apos;s best!

Some of the comments I couldn&apos;t disagree more. Yes the comedy was dodgy, but in which Hindi movie in that era has the comedy not been dodgy?! 9/10 Hindi movies are far-fetched and this is why we watch them. 

Beta could have been better written, but as it is, it isn&apos;t written badly. Acting from Anil and Madhuri is A-class, as well as Aruna Irani and Anupam Kher. 

Without the class side actors, this movie would have been nothing. One of my best Anil movies of all time..!

Indra Kumar&apos;s other movies I really enjoyed was Raja and Ishq, I disliked the others. Mann had potential but still really disappointing from a creative maker like Mr Kumar.

Beta is the story of Raju, the only child of a widowed multi millionaire. Raju&apos;s father can provide him anything he wants but Raju&apos;s only desire is to get mother&apos;s love, in order to please Raju, his father gets married to Nagmani, thinking that she will take care of Raju more than his real mother would. Raju becomes completely devoted to his stepmother, doing whatever she wishes. Time passes by, Raju grows up and gets married to Saraswati. Saraswati discovers that Nagmani&apos;s motherly love for Raju is fake and all what Nagmani is interested in, is capturing Raju&apos;s wealth.
