"This is the best, except maybe "Mannen På Balkongen", of all the movies in the "Martin Beck"-series of films with Gösta Ekman. I have only one thing to complain about and that is the end. It is a little "too much". The actors are great though. Gösta Ekman is maybe the best Beck ever, and Rolf Lassgård as Gunvald Larsson IS the best ever. Kjell Bergqvist is as usual also very good, and so is also the rest of the cast. It's a very good movie up to the not so good end. 6/10..."

This is actually the first film in the series, followed by Brandbilen som försvann (1993). They were released out of order as this was released straight to video while that premiered in theaters. Also, IMDb's follows/followed by order of this and the third film Murder at the Savoy (1993) is reversed, but somehow can't be corrected as they were released on the same day.
