"Mr. Rius (Alberto Fernández) , owner and founder of the Hotel Palace, sees the last days of his life pass by from his stay. When he dies, his three children (Carles Sans, Joan Grácia, Paco Mir) inherit the hotel and decide to renovate the premises by asking for a loan from Thomas (Jean Rochefort) , the vilest of the lenders, who puts high interests and unpayable debts in them, and does everything possible to make them fail.
