"It's the Cartoonists' Track & Field Day, and Max is out in front of the huge crowds, changing into shorts. He takes a few seconds out to draw Koko and Fitz. They do a bit of competition in the shot put and log jump. Then it's Max's turn to suffer the slings and arrows of his prankish characters. Sometimes Max would draw his characters, and they'd interact in a much larger cartoon world than the audience could see at first.
