"Felix The Cat visits China. After he steals a cook book to make some chop suey -- yes, I know it's actually an American dish -- he is pursued by ever lengthening crowds of locals. A lot of the Felix cartoons are missing in action; this one has the modern excuse of relying on a bunch of stereotypes. It's a pity. Otto Messmer does some wonderful transformations here. The cat's tail is, at various times, a walking stick, a drill, and a ladle; he also easily converts exclamation points and quotation marks into foodstuff for adding into the chop suey.
