"The ants in this cartoon are cute little guys who are incredibly enterprising. They are mostly interested in reproductions. Some of the unstated human parallels are interesting. The queen is a buxom Mae West lookalike. I guess she was the model of womanhood at the time. It's a clever thing. There is an interesting conclusion as the new ants are born as their expectant fathers pace nervously in the waiting room...."
