"Not necessarily a great movie but classic for anyone born before 2000 in czech republic,this movie biggest appeal is precisely and with humor showing lives of people living in small secluded village in Czech Republic. The movies follows many families and characters like a young student Planicka who comes to the local farm to help increase milk production by using unussual metods like playing music to cows it creates a lot of funny moments. We also follow a local priest who uses an old grannies as a gossip network,another notable character is old Skopková played by great late actress Helena Ruz..."

Petra Pysová's debut. In the DVD bonus features, director Zdenek Troska says Pysová was only 15 during filming. She appeared completely nude in a bathroom scene. Moreover, in the famous slapping scene, Helena Ruzicková ripped off Pysová's bra, but this shot didn't make it into the film (it is in the making of).
