Worth a watch for the cast.

A murdered woman, Diana Bernard (Sally Kemp, &apos;Dynasty&apos;) finds her spirit reborn in another womans&apos; body; that young woman is the titular Carol Enders (Meredith Baxter, &apos;Family Ties&apos;), who herself was the victim of an assault. Diana subsequently tries to solve her own murder, to the consternation of everybody around, including Carols&apos; fiancee Adam (Christopher Connelly, &apos;Peyton Place&apos;).

Executive produced by Dan Curtis, that titan of made-for-TV terror in the 70s, this medium possession-themed drama is NO great shakes but entertains well enough. It IS admittedly awfully talky, occasionally injecting some decent suspense but lacking in any real atmosphere; the script (by Gene R. Kearney (&apos;Night Gallery&apos;) and Merwin Gerard (&apos;One Step Beyond&apos;) goes through the usual assortment of plot twists until the actual perpetrator is revealed.

The direction by Burt Brinckerhoff (&quot;Acapulco Gold&quot;, &apos;Lou Grant&apos;) is adequate at best, but the actors (especially Baxter and Charles Aidman (&quot;Zoot Suit&quot;) as Dr. Bernard) do their able best to keep this thing watchable.

I&apos;m more inclined to give this the benefit of the doubt since the crew likely didn&apos;t have the wherewithal to give this story the kind of &quot;bells &amp; whistles&quot; from which it might have benefited.
