"I saw this when it was originally broadcast on CBC but was not paying enough attention. I have since read more about this very important Canadian. The production values of this series are excellent and the cast are superb. King was in power for 22 years, the longest run of any democratically elected man in the free world. He nursed a politically volatile country through most of the great depression and world war two. The fact that he was a complete lunatic makes this achievement all the more noteworthy.
