"This movie is as slow as an arthritic snail walking on a bed of molasses. I have watched most other movies by Rituparno Ghosh - and liked them overall. But this one was a real gritty torture. Kiron Kher acts really well, Shibaprasad Mukherjee is very good in one of his early roles and the the rest are good to adequate. But the script is just too slow to hold the interest over a period of 150 minutes. Maybe if they condensed it to 90 minutes, it would have worked better...."
