"Capture of Trenches at Candaba (1899) *** (out of 4) This Edison short once again takes advantage of the Spanish-American War and delivers a fairly nice film. The camera is set inside the Filipinos trench where they are firing upon American soldiers. Soon the Americans make a charge and the bad guys take off the other way. Once again the Edison company delivers a pretty good little film that only lasts fifty-one seconds but each of those are full of action.
