"I used to watch Ronnie Shiners films at my local ABC. He was one of my favourite actors. Looking at this film I can only wonder at my judgement in those bygone days. This is the second,and totally unnecessary, remake of this stage bound film. I didn't laugh once. Ronnie Shiners plays it well over the top. Ted Ray was shown to best advantage on radio,Rays A Laugh. Fabia Drake plays the mother in law on rather a one note. The marvellous Robertson Hare doesn't have enough to do as the father in law The plot is typical theatrical nonsense that was quite popular at the time. Finally ..."
