"Based on the excellent book by Clive King, this was a great adaptation and series. The series does remain loyal to the spirit of the book, which I appreciated, and the story here is still wonderful to watch. The filming locations are striking and the photography is good too. The music is quite moving to me, while the script is fine. And the acting I had little problem with either, Thomas Sangster is appealing as Barney, while Stig is brilliantly done.
