💡 Did You Know?

When Ray Liotta was asked why he decided to voice the main character of the game, he said: "for the money". Tommy Vercetti was meant to have a (voice only) cameo in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas (2004), but since Ray Liotta was under the impression he was underpaid for this game, he refused to return. In 2008, Sam Houser noted it was not that he was underpaid, but instead thinking he should've asked extra because of the game's later foundation success, which Houser found considerably unsettling.
