Sharon Cuenta plays &apos;Monique&apos;, a beautiful, famous Filipina performer who has gone into hiding by cutting her hair and adding a mole on her face to appear as common &apos;Digna&apos;. Robin Padilla is &apos;Carding&apos; a simple pickpocketer, who along with Dennis Padilla as his bumbling partner in crime &apos;Libob&apos;, steal everything from wallets to car stereos in order to feed and raise 6 young orphans all of whom the 8 of them live in a shack in the ghettos of the city. One fateful night, Digna and Carding cross paths and their lives begin to take on more drama and adventure than they&apos;ve ever gone through. Digna learns of Carding&apos;s plight raising 6 orphans and his star stuck crush of her alter ego &apos;Monique&apos;, while Carding can&apos;t seem to figure out the secrets Digna is hiding and why she runs away so much. Gilbert and his father thought Monique was dead until he met her in a restaurant as a waitress; Gilbert hunts Monique to kill her. Trying to escape his men, she accidentally meets Carding, a thief, in Ermita with his sidekick Libag. Their love story begins while she stays in Carding's slum along with the kids Carding is tending. Gilbert and his father are later caught during police operations and Monique recovered her house and wealth. In the end, Monique keeps Carding's kids in her house and they confirm their love for each other.
