"I remember seeing this when it aired, I was in high school and very active in theater. To see all these entertainers honor one of their own with such sincerity was really touching. There is one particular moment when Gregory Hines finishes a tap sequence and jumps off the stage, bends down and kisses Sammy's shoes. One of the most incredible moments I have ever witnessed.
