"There is in this picture a real dramatic touch when the Italian, fleeing from what he believes to be murder and seeking a priest to confess, comes upon the actor standing by the stage door in the robe of Richelieu. That the man in the garb of a Cardinal should be the husband of the niece the Italian believed he had killed furnished a situation which presented great opportunities. The picture is well made and interests throughout. The principals in the cast, James Vincent as the actor, Alice Hollister as the street singer, and James B. Ross as the Italian, all do fine work. - The Moving Picture..."
