"There is a great deal of hype surrounding Sonic X, and to be fair I can see why. The use of the same art style featuring in the Sonic game series and using all of the regular cast from the Sonic series is a major plus point, and something that hasn't happened yet as far as all of Sonic's animated iterations have gone. But sadly, this doesn't cover the fact that the series is severely lacking. Ryan Drummond, the official voice of Sonic the Hedgehog at the time, was going to voice the character in 4Kids Entertainment's English language dub of Sonic X (2003). 4 Kids Entertainment declined to use him because he did not reside in New York City. Drummond then tried to move to New York City for a chance to audition for the role, but 4Kids Entertainment declined that too. Their decision enraged many fans of Sonic the Hedgehog.
