"Udhaya is another movie that has had a long and torturous journey from production to release. Launched way back when Vijay and Simran were a hot pair, the movie was stalled for various reasons and finally released. The end result is a teething movie of its times that is supposed to be released in the late 90s but ended up 8 years later in the wrong times. The whole premise has been wasted on run of the mill screenplay and shoddy execution.Only one or two of Rehman's tunes are real catchy.Background score is abysmal...."
