The director and producer went to pick up the HD camera a day before shooting only to find that the rental house had "lost" the paperwork. Another company stepped up to the plate, but without an established relationship they had to call the director's film school, industry colleagues, and realtor before releasing the equipment. The realtor that sold the director his house knew one of the owners of the rental company and that made the difference. On a separate note: the house cost less than the insured value of the equipment.
