There&apos;s a baby show at the stadium, with cash prizes offered for the winner. Farmer Alfalfa doesn&apos;t have a baby, so the cat grabs a mouse, bundles it in swaddling to incapacitate it, and enters it in the baby show.

The main problem with a new Aesops Fables cartoon was to find the basic idea. After that, a bunch of standard gags from the long list of tried-and-true funny bits could be added. It was, in essence, a production-line method of cartoon production, tat then continued with established techniques of pencil tests, in-betweening, and on to photographing the cels in order. It almost never produced great cartoons, but as producer Paul Terry later noted, he was content to let Disney be the Tiffany of cartoon studios, while he was the industry&apos;s Woolworth&apos;s.
