"Farmer Alfalfa has become a cartoonist, producing thousands of cels of his dog, who is the one photographing them on film. Finally, he's ready to show the results of his work to a large and appreciative audience who pile into the gigantic theater. It's a cartoon about the dog. Jerry Shields -- who used the name 'Hugh Shields' when directing for Aesops Fables for some reason -- has nice, clean compositions and simple gags that, while not the greatest in the industry, make a good deal of cinematic sense.
