This unusual experimental short film presents singer Alceu Valença admiring the sunrise and early morning hours movement of a crowded city just beginning its working routine. While he acts a little bit, there are no lines except the ones coming from his songs, of which thanks to the film&apos;s poor quality it&apos;s really hard to understand what&apos;s he saying/singing unless if you are familiar with his body of then up until early 1980&apos;s.

I don&apos;t know about the co-director of &quot;Amanhecendo&quot; but Jomard Muniz de Britto&apos;s style of shooting everything through a Super 8 capturing grainy images (his early phase between 1970&apos;s and 1980&apos;s) is quite present here, with some images being distinctive, others were really out of focus and grainy. But the ultimate experience didn&apos;t reflect anything on me. For a while I thought it was presenting Valença as a common man who goes to work and then gets fired (there&apos;s a conflictive image of him joining a huge line of people and when the image cuts he&apos;s alone on the outside with his arms raised on an V and he doesn&apos;t move from the wall behind him, as if being held by an invisible shackle). I don&apos;t know what it was, didn&apos;t get it and didn&apos;t like it. 3/10.
