"The object of this drama is to picture a struggle between good and evil in the soul of a young girl. This reviewer doesn't feel that as a picture of such a struggle it is wholly convincing. He has persuaded himself that the reason for this is that the talented cast has sacrificed some humanity to the necessity of making the story clear. In one scene a bunch of roses is made to serve as a symbol of a great deal more than one ordinarily sees in them. The effect, to this reviewer, was not at all adequate. The roses didn't explain the girl's sudden changes of attitude. Nor does the ..."
